Personal Information Collection Statement
This Personal Information Collection Statement gives you information that Hong Kong Music Publishers Ltd (‘HKM’) is required by the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance ("the Ordinance") and applicable laws to provide to you in relation to the personal data HKM may collect from you.
1. Collection of Personal Data
HKM may collect and hold your personal data collected from various types of sources (including online media). For example, when you visit our website (www.hkmusic.com.hk); or register an account on our website or APP or; make product or service enquiry. HKM also obtains personal data from all kinds of primary research such as sales visit, personal and telephone interview. HKM may conduct desk research to collect personal data. Sources may include personal data and other information posted in the Internet, government publication, newspaper, magazine, registered associations’ release, and any other information which is released to public. We ensure that the aforementioned personal data will be handled in accordance with the provisions of the Ordinance.
Personal data that may be collected, held and use by HKM:
a. information that you provide when registering with our website or APP (includes but not limited to your name, telephone number, fax number, email address);
b. information about school name, school address, academic subjects taught, job position, form, class & class number;
c. information that you provide when emailing or phone calling for enquiries;
d. information about your visits to and use of our Services (including but not limited to your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and navigation paths);
e. results, records, and accumulative progress from our interactive materials.
2. Purpose of Collection
Purposes for which personal data may be used include:

b. Marketing of books and other related teaching resources;
c. Communication with you generally;
d. Evaluation and further enhancement of the company's products and services;
e. Dealing with enquiries made by or about you relating to our Services;

You have a right to (i) request access to; (ii) obtain a copy of; (iii) supplement or request correction of; (iv) request that HKM cease the collection, processing, or use of; or (v) request that HKM delete your personal data held by HKM. Provision, correction or updating of such information will be subject to the supply of appropriate evidence of your identity. HKM will not charge you any fees with this regards.
5. Amendments
HKM is fully committed to complying with PDPO and all applicable laws regarding the protection of personal data. Hence, we may update this Statement from time to time whenever there are changes to the law, or market practices that necessitate a policy change. We may also notify you of changes to this Statement by email or on our Services.
